Business acumen: Must be able to speak to, reason with and sell business owners or other interested parties. Must be facile with business terminology, display orientation to profitability and align work with strategic goals. Cost Impact – Contributes to profits and revenue.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or MBA or equivalent from four-year college or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs, to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
